Gold for Waterford Novice LL2

Our Novice LL2 team faced the Port Dover Pirates in the Novice LL 'A' Division Finals (best of 3).
 
Read on to learn the details of how this series played out with Waterford bringing home gold …..



Game 1 was a 'nail-biter'. Ties 3-3 after 3, this first game went into period 4.  In the final minutes of the 4th period, Waterford pocketed the game winning goal, closing out game 1 with a score of 4 to 3 for Waterford.

Game 2 brought out the best of both teams. Waterford was ahead 3 to 1 near the end of the 3rd period. Dover called a time-out and rallied their players. Their strategy paid off as the team netted 2 goals to tie the game 3-3, sending game 2 into a repeat event of game 1.

59 seconds into the 4th period, Waterford closed in on the net and popped in the winning goal. This 4 to 3 win closed out the series. Waterford took gold and Port Dover took silver in an extremely impressive set of hockey games.
