On behalf of Waterford and District Minor Hockey, we would like to extend best wishes to everyone for a very happy, healthy and prosperous New Year!  

We would like to update our members on our plans for Session 3. To be clear, WDMHA is planning to restart hockey programming as soon as we are permitted to do so. In discussions with Norfolk County, the earliest possible date to be back on the ice will be January 25, 2021. This date is a guideline only and relies on a number of variables that are currently unknown. As such we are planning for multiple return to play scenarios. Read More

Today, the Province of Ontario announced a Provincial Lockdown beginning at Midnight on December 26, 2020 for a period of at least 28 days. Your board of directors are meeting this week to review the implications on our session 3 plans. We will communicate all options to our members after our respective board meetings.

Our Beginner and Junior Skate Program (Beginner to Minor Novice) will remain at 2 ice times per week.  The program will be focused on player development and will have some ad-hoc games planned from time to time.

Dear Waterford Families,
As COVID numbers continue to rise, protocols are being modified to ensure compliance with Health Regulations. Each Hockey Organization will be providing rosters to Norfolk County as the arena staff prepare to take on improved attendance tracking. They will be provided a list of each player that would be attending the scheduled skates. The ONE attending parent (per child 18 and under) MUST sign their name beside their player. NO siblings will be permitted. Read More
