IMMEDIATE ACTION REQUIRED
Submitted By Darnell Lambert on Sat 08 31, 19
This is an urgent update regarding the legislative requirements under the implementation of Rowan’s Law by the Government of Ontario.

Every player, coach and bench staff must have an OHF Rowan's Law Acknowledgement Form filled out and submitted via email prior to the first skate.

What is Rowan's Law?
Rowan Stringer was a 17-year old Ottawa varsity rugby player who died from sustaining multiple concussions resulting in a catastrophic swelling of the brain – second impact syndrome.  On March 7, 2018, Ontario passed Rowan's Law (Concussion Safety), 2018 and related amendments to the Education Act.

Please read the information below that pertains to the age of each registered player, then complete the OHF Rowan's Law Acknowledgement Form.

Rowan's Law Booklet - Ages 10 and Under
Rowan's Law Booklet - Ages 11 to 14
Rowan's Law Booklet - Ages 15 and Over

After reviewing the appropriate Booklet, please complete the following Acknowledgment form to be submitted before your player may skate  (forms can be emailed to [email protected]).

Players attending REP Try-outs this week, may bring the signed acknowledgement form with them to the first try-out skate.
