Session 3 Update - January 26-2021
Submitted By Darnell Lambert on Tuesday, January 26, 2021
Attention: WDMHA Members

Just a quick note to provide you the latest information possible with respect to our Return to Play plans for the 2020-2021 season. For all members who have registered for Session 3, please be advised of the following updates:

CREDIT CARD PAYMENT - 2nd Installment (Feb 1)
Those members who paid by credit card (making use of the 2-installment option) and are expecting to have their 2nd installment charged on February 1st, be advised that, due to Session 3 planning uncertainty, the 2nd installment will NOT be processed on Feb 1.  Further communication will be provided regarding this payment when there is more clarity on implementing Session 3.

On the matter of Session 3, there are two positive developments.

  1. The Ontario Hockey Federation has extended the 2020/2021 season to May 31st, such that we are able to run programming up to that date, if permitted and required.

  2. Norfolk County has announced that it will not be taking ice out of our arenas at this time.  We have also made them aware of our anticipated ice needs should our Session 3 programming be allowed to advance.
Depending on how the COVID situation evolves and how the provincial guidelines and allowances change, we remain hopeful that we'll be able to run Session 3 programming, and it remains our intention to do so.  We will continue to provide updates as we move forward.
Stay safe, stay healthy and we hope to back on the ice soon.

Sincerely,
WDMHA
