Parent Respect In Sport (RIS) Course Mandate

Do Not Complete the RIS Course unless directed to do so by the WDMHA Office

As per the 2014 OMHA Mandate, all parents must complete the Parent Respect in Sport online course in order for their child to be eligible to play. This is a one-time only requirement and must be completed to finalize the child’s registration process. Only one parent needs to complete the course. Players whose parent has not completed the RIS Course will not be allowed on the ice.The registrar will identify those parents required to complete the RIS Course and send them an email with a link and
information in order to complete RIS Course.

Volunteering

Volunteers are a vital component of Waterford Minor Hockey. We are always looking for people to help out, be it on the bench, during practice, as an Assistant, Trainer, Manager, and more! You can help out an hour or two a week, or you can really dive in and pick up some of the heavy lifting – it’s really up to you! And you don’t have to be a “hockey person” to help out – there are roles that need some hockey knowledge, of course, but there are administrative and managerial roles as well. If you are interested in volunteering with your child’s team and/or Division, thank you!!

If you are planning on Volunteering in any capacity, please note that you will be required to complete a Police Background Check and Gender Identity Training (on-line). This can take some time to complete so please contract your child’s assigned coach early if you are interested in volunteering.
